I never write comments, but just felt I had to.. Born and raised in Prince George’s County Maryland, I had never heard of Eva Cassidy..Recently listening to old Fleetwood Mac songs I came across her name..My God, what a beautiful angelic voice.. I listen to her constantly and cannot stop.. . I know and your family have to be so proud of a beautiful and talented daughter., God Bless you all.
What a gift you gave to the world! Thank you. Eva’s songs and voice live on and we use her Over the Rainbow as our wake up music on our phone alarm. She left all of us too soon, especially you.
Eva is one of the greatest musicians I’ve ever come across and it was only last week. I mourn her loss even though i never met her. As a guitar player,
sometimes singer (not nearly in her league), a collector of records and music for over 65 years, she is one of the very top talents I’ve ever seen. I can’t stop reading articles about he and listening to her music. I am so happy that she gave so much to the world. I believe that it will grow over the coming decades.
The beauty of her talent is timeless. I can easily say my parents would have loved her music, My mother sang on the radio, My son, who has been a DJ would love her music, even my grandchildren who play and sing would love her music, they will when I share it with them. Her music is multi-generational.
I thank you folks for making her beautiful recordings available.
Eva was a pure gem that did not get to shine while alive. I think of her struggles while alive. All that talent. Its wonderful that we can appreciate the purity of her music. Sung in a way that is devoid of commercialism.
Just “finding” Eva and her voice. Ohhhh my! First listened to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and had to look her up for the rest. Such a true voice and such integrity to it!!!
